Facility Use Policy *
We are a Jesus Church, where the Gospel is Central. Everything we do is about Jesus. Our mission is to Love Jesus. Build People. Lead Revival. Our facility is for the purpose of advancing the gospel of Jesus and fulfilling our mission. At times, we allow people and organizations to utilize our space in order to accomplish those ends. Facility use will not be permitted to persons or groups advocating or engaging in practices that conflict with the church’s doctrinal beliefs or are inconsistent with the church’s faith or moral teachings. The Lead Pastor, Executive and Discipleship Pastors (or their official designee) may determine whether a person or group is allowed facility usage. Priority is given first to official ministries of Grace Church, second, church members and their families, and lastly, outside groups who meet the following requirements: 1. Affirmation to use the facility in alignment with Grace’s faith and practice. 2. Submission of a signed Facility Reservation Request and Agreement Form. 3. Responsibility for the facilities and equipment used and submission to the rules of conduct for facility use, as stated below and as described in any additional instructions by the staff. Facility Use Hours: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Use outside these hours may be approved by the above pastors or official designee. Scheduling Official Church Events: Requests are made to the Executive Team Assistant by submitting the Facility Reservation Request and Agreement Form. The event will be reserved and placed on the church calendar only after approval. Auditorium Requests: To utilize our auditorium, please submit your request at least 120 days prior to the event. As we prioritize ministry activities, requests made within less than 120 days are likely to be declined. Fees: Facility usage is free, and donations are welcome. Technical equipment must be operated by a Grace Church appointed contract worker. Tech hourly fee will be determined at intake conversation following request approval. There is minimum $150.00 fee for tech services paid by reservation requester. Facility Use Guidelines 1. No alcohol may be brought into church facilities. 2. Smoking inside church facilities is prohibited. 3. Groups are restricted only to areas of the facility that the group has reserved. 4. I affirm that:
1. I understand that the church does not allow its facilities to be used in a way that contradicts its faith or beliefs, or by persons or groups holding beliefs that contradict them. Furthermore, the purpose for which I am requesting use of church facilities will not contradict the church’s faith or beliefs, and I commit to promptly disclose any potential conflict of which I am or become aware to church staff. 2. I understand that the church does not allow its facilities to be generally available to the public, and that my use of these facilities is subject to one of the above pastors approval, which is conditioned in part on my agreement to the requirements in this policy. 3. I understand that I will be responsible for any damages to the church facilities resulting from this proposed use of facilities. 4. The church believes disputes are to be worked out between parties without recourse to the courts, and users of the facility agree to attempt resolution through Christian mediation, and failing that to submit to binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association, or any other mutually acceptable arbitration service.
